INFO TOURISME - Horaires de l'office de tourisme

Sea, beaches, ponds, vineyards, scrubland...

Frontignan la Peyrade brings together all the landscapes of the Hérault département - sea, beaches, lakes, vineyards and garrigue.

The sea is ever-present, with 7 kilometres of beaches, including the wild and fiercely protected Aresquiers beach, and also with unique deep-sea diving sites that attract many divers.

The sea is further evident in the marina (580 floating moorings) providing shelter throughout the year or as a stopover for boating enthusiasts.

Go through the dunes and you enter a paradise of birds. Protected and maintained, the lakes of Ingril, Mouettes and la Peyrade are home to many animal species. Our guides will be delighted to take you exploring there.

A visit to the town’s former salt works in the heart of the lagoon area gives an insight into how, from ancient times, men have known how to extract the best from their environment.

Muscat de Frontignan is a wine, a grape variety and also a vineyard in the heart of the town. The 800 hectares of AOC vines resemble a large garden, its colours changing with the seasons, from the fresh, intense greens of spring to the flaming reds of autumn. Explore them as you stroll along, or take a guided tour.

Exploring the vineyard will doubtless lead you to the upper part of the commune to the steep garrigue-covered slopes of the Gardiole massif. Here again is a unique characteristic of Frontignan la Peyrade: it is quite exceptional to find a commune on the Mediterranean coast with hills plunging as they do into lakes and sea.
